The Elliptical add-on for Google Spreadsheets doesn’t have a menu or a sidebar, it’s just a collection of custom functions that all start with the prefix “ELP”. In a cell you can type “=ELP_” and you’ll get the list of all the custom functions made available by the add-on. Each custom function is documented directly on Google Sheets like any other built-in function.
If you want to force one of the custom functions to fetch new data, you can add an additional argument to the function and change it’s value. Any time any of the inputs of a function changes (even if the function doesn’t need that input to operate) Google Sheets re-runs it. Keep in mind that data is being cached for a short period of time for performance reasons.
